How hybrid almonds are cultivated?

 

The process of cultivating hybrid almonds is done in several steps.  These steps are mentioned below:

Land Preparation:


   
- Select high and medium high land with good drainage.

    - Plow the land well and loosen the soil with a ladder.

    - Apply organic fertilizers and chemical fertilizers as required.

Seed Selection

    - Collect high yielding and disease free hybrid almond seeds.

    - Clean the seeds and prepare them for sowing.

Sowing:

    - 15-20 kg of seed per acre is required.

    - Keep row to row distance of 45-60 cm and plant to plant distance of 10-15 cm.

    - Sow seeds at a depth of 3-5 cm.

Fertilizer and Irrigation Management:

    - Irrigate adequately after seedling emergence and during flowering.

    - Apply urea, TSP and MOP fertilizers as required.

Disease and Pest Control:

    - Monitor plant health regularly.

    - Apply insecticides and fungicides if necessary.

Harvest Collection:

    - Harvest almond trees after the leaves turn yellow and the plant droops to the ground.

    - Dry and store nuts after collection.

 By following these steps you can grow hybrid almonds successfully.
